Three Irishmen being held in Colombia have been moved to a different prison. The three, being held on suspicion of training rebel groups, were moved "for their own safety ", according to lawyers.

The lawyers said that Niall Connolly, Martin McCauley and James Monaghan were not being held in an appropriate environment. It is thought there was a threat of attacks by fellow prisoners or by guards.
