Birmingham International Airport remains closed this morning after the crash of a private plane there yesterday.

Birmingham International Airport remains closed this morning after the crash of a private plane there yesterday. All five people on board were killed. Investigators are still at the scene where the flight recorder has been located.

Some 200 flights are being re-routed to Manchester, Coventry and East Midlands airports. However, it is expected that Birmingham International may re-open at lunchtime.
