George W Bush, Taking action against two groups in Pakistan
President Bush has announced action against two groups based in Pakistan, which he says are linked to terrorism.
The action included freezing the assets of the UTN organisation, which Mr Bush accused of being a cover for two retired Pakistani scientists suspected of helping Osama bin Laden's effort to acquire weapons of mass destruction. However, UTN said it was a charity for needy Afghans.
Mr Bush said that the other group, a Kashmiri militant organisation that has been blamed for last week's attack on the Indian parliament, presented a global threat.
He said that Washington would work with India and Pakistan to close the group down.
