The Oireachtas sub-committee investigating cost overruns in CIÉ has been adjourned. Chairman Sean Doherty said that he could not give a date for its resumption.
The sub-committee has adjourned to consider its position following the High Court judgement on the Abbeylara committee last week. The sub-committee invited legal representatives to make a submission with respect to the High Court judgement.
Council for the late Michael McDonnell, former Chief Executive of CIÉ, has asked that the sub-committee discharge itself immediately. A decision is expected shortly.
