Ken Maginnis, "Folly" for sceptics to damage leadership
The former Ulster Unionist MP, Ken Maginnis, has said that it would be folly for the sceptics within the party to try to damage its leadership.
Speaking on RTÉ's This Week programme, Lord Maginnis said that David Trimble's leadership had capitalised on what he said was seven years of attrition to convince the world and the IRA that decommissioning was vital to the peace process.
He pointed out that the UUP's Executive had instructed all party members to follow the lead being given by Mr Trimble.
