A Palestinian suicide bomber has killed himself and an Israeli in an explosion in northern Israel. Earlier reports had said that both men were Palestinians who were accidentally killed by their own bomb as they drove through a rural area near the Jordan valley.
However, police now say that one of them was an Israeli who stopped his car to question a Palestinian he saw at the entrance to a collective farm. The Palestinian then detonated explosives attached to his body. The incident is the latest setback to a ceasefire agreed by Israel and the Palestinians eleven days ago.
