Irishman's body found in twin towers rubble

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said the body of an Irishman has been recovered from the rubble of the twin towers in New York.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said the body of an Irishman has been recovered from the rubble of the twin towers in New York. They identified him as 53-year-old Martin Coughlan from Cappawhite in Tipperary.

Mr Coughlan had been working on the 96th floor of the second tower when a passenger jet struck the building below him in last week's attack. Mr Coughlan is the fifth Irish person to have died as a result of the attacks.
