Thai police will begin proceedings next month against three Irishmen accused of running a share scam that defrauded Australian and New Zealand investors of millions of pounds.
The two men, John Kealy from Tipperary and Ronan Murray from Dublin, were arrested in Bangkok last month, following a raid on an unlicensed brokerage house.
They appeared in court today after handing themselves into the authorities at the weekend and were charged with work permit violations, running an unlicensed trading house, and fraud. They have been released on bail.
