Bosnian government to facilitate Karadzic arrest

The Bosnian Serb Prime Minister has indicated that his government is prepared to facilitate the arrest of the wartime Prime Minister, Radovan Karadzic, and army leader, Ratko Mladic.

The Bosnian Serb Prime Minister has indicated that his government is prepared to facilitate the arrest of the wartime Prime Minister, Radovan Karadzic, and army leader, Ratko Mladic. Mr Karadizic and Mr Mladic have both been indicted for war crimes. Mladen Ivanic was speaking on his way to the International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague, where he is due to meet the Chief Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte, today.

The Bosnian Serb parliament is preparing to pass a law on co-operation with the tribunal. Mr Karadzic and General Mladic are regarded as the tribunal's most wanted suspects since the arrest of the former Yugoslav President, Slobodan Milosevic.
