Two Belgrade lawyers who met former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic in a Dutch prison have said that he does not recognise the United Nations War Crimes Tribunal and does not intend to appoint a defence team. They say that Mr Milosevic feels that the Tribunal and the charges against him are false.
Mr Milosevic is reported to have said that the Tribunal is part of a mechanism to commit genocide against the Serbian people and is part of a cover up of war crimes committed by NATO against the Serbian people. He is due to make his first appearance before the court tomorrow, when he will be charged with war crimes.
