Man pleads not guilty to murder of schoolgirl

A jury has been sworn in the Central Criminal Court for the trial of 23-year-old Connemara man, John McDonagh, who is charged with the murder of schoolgirl Siobhan Hynes in December 1998.

A jury has been sworn in the Central Criminal Court for the trial of 23-year-old Connemara man, John McDonagh, who is charged with the murder of schoolgirl Siobhan Hynes in December 1998. The trial is due to get underway tomorrow. The accused, John McDonagh, who is from the Demesne, Carraroe, pleaded not guilty when the charge of murder and two other charges were put to him.
