Loyalist leaders have had what is being described as constructive talks aimed at ending the feud in which seven people have been killed in Belfast. Leaders of the Ulster Defence Association, the Ulster Volunteer Force and the Red Hand Commando met in secret; they refused to discuss the outcome afterwards, but Loyalist sources have been quoted as saying that progress was made.
