Gardaí examine scene, Sth Circular Road yesterday
Gardaí have said that they believe they have identified the driver of a four-wheel-drive, who knocked down and killed a young man in a road rage incident in Dublin. A senior garda has confirmed that a passenger in the vehicle involved in the incident has made a statement. Gardaí have again appealed to the driver of the English-registered four-wheel-drive to come forward. The driver is believed to be of North African origin.
21-year-old David Keating, from Templeogue, died after he was knocked down on the South Circular Road at 5.30am on Sunday morning. The four-wheel-drive, which was found in Crumlin, has been taken to the Garda Technical bureau for forensic examination. An incident room has been set up at Kevin Street Garda Station and Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
