A High Court challenge by the Director of Public Prosecutions to a decision by Judge Kevin Haugh indefinitely postponing Charles Haughey's trial will be heard on October 24. The hearing is expected to take a week. The former Taoiseach is charged with obstructing the McCracken Tribunal. Last month in the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Haugh postponed the trial because he found that Mr Haughey could not have a fair trial in the current climate.
