Anti-corruption rally takes place in Dublin City Centre

Saturday 01 July 2000 19.03

A rally that was cited by Judge Kevin Haugh last week as one of the reasons that Charles Haughey's trial should be postponed, has gone ahead in Dublin City Centre today. Posters advertising the demonstration were judged to have the potential for real and substantial prejudice to the former Taoiseach's trial on charges of obstructing the McCracken tribunal. The Director of Public Prosecutions is to challenge the ruling.
