The High Court has ordered National Irish Bank to provide RTÉ with the names of sixty five clients alleged to have been beneficiaries of an investment scheme introduced to them by Fianna Fail TD, Beverly Cooper-Flynn. Mr Justice Peter Kelly restricted access to the names to RTE's legal advisers. RTE, which is being sued by Ms Cooper Flynn for libel, had asked the High Court to direct National Irish Bank to reveal the identity of the sixty five clients.

Ms Cooper Flynn, who is on leave of absence from her position as a Financial Services Manager with National Irish Bank Financial Services, is suing RTE journalist, Charlie Bird, and a County Louth farmer.
