Bill Clinton, Believes countries will resolve differences
Tens of thousands of Israelis demonstrated in the centre of Tel Aviv tonight against any withdrawal from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The possibility of such a withdrawal has been under discussion between Israeli and Syrian leaders in the United States. The discussions were adjourned today without agreement but are to resume on January 19. President Bill Clinton said that the two countries had agreed to hammer out their differences over the next two months.
