The row about the government's budgetary strategy continued today. Minister for Finance fought back against claims that he had ignored the strong advise of the government's expert Tax Strategy Group by trying to introduce full individualisation of tax band in last months budget. Charlie McCreevy said that the individualisation proposals had been examined by Social Welfare advisory group rather than the tax advisory group.
