The Garda Representative Association has accused the Minister for Justice of being disingenuous after he rejected their proposal for a cut in the working week. John O'Donoghue said that fewer hours for the same money was effectively a pay increase, and there was no more money on offer. Earlier, PJ Stone of the Garda Representative Association suggested that the dispute over a new computer system could be settled if the working week of Gardaí was reduced by one hour.
