Scotland lost to the All-Blacks tonight in Murrayfield but endeared themselves to their faithful supporters along the way.

Scotland actually won the second half 15 – 5 before going down 30 – 18 to the awesome New Zealand side.

Two tries from Tana Umaga and a sixth competition try from Jonah Lomu helped the All-Blacks to victory. It was hoped the second half would not be a route as the half-time score read 25 – 3 and it certainly wasn’t. Budge Pountney and Cameron Murray got second half tries and Cameron MurraY took the supposedly unstoppable Lomu down on his way to the line, so all in all it wasn’t too bad an evening’s work for the young winger.

Once again the power play of the Southern Hemisphere sides was too much for a Northern Hemisphere nation as the issue was never in any doubt at a rain-soaked Murrayfield.
