More than 20,000 people marched through Belgrade today demanding the resignation of President Slobodan Milosevic, blaming him for their plunging living standards and international isolation.

Street protests were set to continue for a sixth straight today in the Yugloslav capital and other Serbian towns with the opposition hoping that the crowds would grow further. The opposition, Alliance for change, is calling for the establishment of a transitional government followed by free and fair elections.
