Underdogs Kilkenny have won the All-Ireland U-21 Hurling Final, beating favourites Galway by 1-13 to 0-14. Galway lead by four points after 15 mintues, but the tactical shift of Kilkenny player Henry Shefflin to left half forward paid dividends. Within minutes Shefflin had scored 3 points before Eddie Brennan leveled the match with a goal. The scores were level in the second half four times, but two Kilkenny points in eight minutes settled the match.
