Michael Bailey, Complains he has been blocked from answering questions properly
At the Flood Tribunal, builder Michael Bailey has complained that he has been blocked by counsel for the Tribunal from answering questions properly. He is giving evidence about the letter at the centre of the enquiry, which refers to procuring planning permission.
He said that the letter was not an offer, but simply a proposal for discussion. Asked how much the North Dublin land would be worth, if he had managed to obtain planning permission, he said that it was impossible to say. He rejected the figure of £21million suggested by counsel for the tribunal and again asked that he be allowed answer questions in a proper context.
