Found Coffin - Discovered at a graveyard near Dundalk this morning
The former Tánaiste and representative on the Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains John Wilson has said he is hopeful that eight more bodies identified by the IRA will be located over the weekend.
Mr Wilson forecast a great deal of work in the next 48 hours in the recovery of the disappeared IRA murder victims.
He said that efforts to recover the bodies would be carried out on a grave-by-grave basis.
Earlier today, the remains of Eamonn Molloy were found near Dundalk and brought to Dublin for formal identification.
He was from the Oldpark area of Belfast and was killed by the IRA in 1975.
The Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains was established following an exchange of notes between the British and Irish Governments this morning.
Both governments hope that the Commission will receive information about the location of the remains of other "disappeared".
Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has described the recovery of the remains today as a welcome development.
He said that the recovery of the bodies was a human rights and justice issue.
Mr Adams said that he hoped the other bodies were recovered quickly and returned to their families.
In a separate development, a man's body has been found at a house in Antrim. It was discovered at Barra Street, on the Springfarm estate. The RUC are treating the death as suspicious.
