Dando inquest hears prime suspect was spotted on bus

The inquest into the death of the television presenter, Jill Dando, has heard that the prime suspect was spotted on a bus minutes after the attack.

The inquest into the death of the television presenter, Jill Dando, has heard that the prime suspect was spotted on a bus minutes after the attack. Detective Chief Inspector Hamish Campbell told the inquest at Fulham Coroner's Court in Southwest London, that the man was seen talking on a mobile phone while on a bus that took him to Putney Bridge Tube station.

Miss Dando, who was 37, was killed on her doorstep in Fulham by a single shot to the head last month. Afterwards, police released a description that was compiled using evidence from a witness who saw a man sweating heavily at a bus stop close to the murder scene.
