Sport: Sandelin takes 3-stroke lead over McGinley in Spanish Open

Sweden's Jarmo Sandelin takes a three-stroke lead into the final round of the Peugeot Spanish Open tomorrow. The £100,000 first prize tomorrow could lift Sandelin from 13th to 6th in the race for Europe's Ryder Cup places.

Ireland's Paul McGinley, 16th in the table, has the same target after matching Sandelin's 66 and moving into second place on his own on 15 under.

A bogey at the long 12th, where he had to chip out left-handed from beside a tree, set him back, but three birdies in the next four holes revived his hopes of only a 3rd European tour win.
