Gardaí in Athlone have seized drugs with an estimated street value of £30,000. The cannabis resin and ecstasy were found during a search of a house and a disused building outside Ballymahon, County Longford. A man in his early 30s has been arrested and is being questioned at Athlone Garda station.
In Dublin, a 36-year-old man has been detained by Gardaí in connection with a drugs seizure in Tallaght. Gardaí seized cannabis and amphetamines with an estimated street value of £22,000, in a search of a number of houses in the Springfield area.
