The Supreme Court has ruled that planning permission isn't required for holding concerts at the Landsowne Road rugby grounds in Dublin.

The Court held that occasional concerts do not constitute a material change in the use of the grounds. The Irish Rugby Football Union has welcomed the decision.

The decision overrules an earlier High Court judgement, which followed objections by Dublin Corporation and local residents to the staging of concerts at the grounds.
