Scots crown Land Rover
Tuesday, 17 November 2009 10:17The Discovery 4 has been named the overall winner at the 2009 Scottish Car of the Year awards at a glittering awards ceremony at The Fairmont hotel, St Andrews.
The latest generation model triumphed over a host of new cars to win the title for the first time in the luxury brand's long history.
Organised by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, the Disco had the judging panel in a spin with its class, refinement and technological brilliance.
Category winners were: Small - VW Polo; Family - Mazda3; Luxury - Audi A4 Allroad; SUV - Land Rover Discovery 4; MPV - Citroen Picasso; Drop Top - BMW Z4; Sporting - Ford Focus RS; Diesel - Jaguar XF 3.0 Diesel S; Eco - BMW & Honda (joint winners); Overall - Land Rover Discovery 4
