Chris Thile sure plays a mean mandolin. In his spare time he presents the venerable radio institution that is A Prairie Home Companion and also collaborates with the likes of Brad Mehldau and Yo-Yo Ma. He played a wonderful concert recently in the National Concert Hall and Ellen Cranitch will be playing highlights from it across the weekend on Vespertine.
On Friday, March 3rd, Bernard Clarke presented a special late-night concert featuring Crash Ensemble live from the New Music Dublin Festival Club. The cincert featured the world premiere of Streets Become Liars by Christopher Mayo, as well as Meredith Monk's Stringsongs and Preamble by Qasim Naqvi. You can listen back here:
