The Lyric Feature is RTÉ lyric fm's weekly documentary and music feature programme. Programmes are produced in house by Lyric fm staff or in collaboration with independent production companies. Subject matter varies from week to week but most of the programmes aim to provide insight into music and music making.

History on a Plate is a new six-part radio documentary series that takes real recipes from Irish food history and puts them back on the menu. The presenters are historian Juliana Adelman and restaurant critic Catherine Cleary, while chef Domini Kemp re-creates the long-lost recipes.
The fourth programme in the series History on a Plate, which takes real recipes from Irish food history and puts them back on the menu. In this programme, the presenters, Irish Times restaurant critic Catherine Cleary and historian Juliana Adelman, bring us back to the Big House and chef Domini Kemp prepares salmon combined with some unusual spices. The contributors are chef Domini Kemp, historians Patrick Walsh and Dorothy Cashman, fisheries expert Christopher Moriarty and Fidelma Heany, caretaker of Townley Hall.
The readers are Brian de Salvo and Doireann Ní Bhriain. The programme is produced by Claire Cunningham and the sound mix was by James Daly. This is a Rockfinch production for RTÉ lyric fm and is made with the support of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s Sound and Vision Broadcasting Funding Scheme.
