    The romance of America’s Wild West and tamed cityscapes is brilliantly captured in Copland’s gloriously colourful Billy the Kid and the jazzy excitement and energy of Gershwin’s ravishing Rhapsody. Tchaikovsky’s ballet score is a deliciously sweet, sugary concoction full of fantasy and wonderment, Ravel’s exquisitely glittering Mother Goose full of feathery fun.
