    We're live from the NCH, Dublin, as trombonist extraordinaire Christian Lindberg returns for an evening of passion and romance. Sibelius’ rousing Karelia Suite is a colourful picture-postcard from the heartland of Finnish folklore, Tchaikovsky’s storm-driven Fifth Symphony a baring of the Russian soul. And for sheer showmanship, Lindberg plays, recites and conducts his own brilliantly quirky Helikon Wasp.

    Friday 31st October - Opera Night with Bernard Clarke live from the Wexford Festival Opera presents Salomé by Antoine Marriotte

    Composed by the French sailor-turned-composer Antoine Mariotte (1875–1944), Salomé is based on Oscar Wilde’s 1891 play of the same name. Mariotte followed closely Wilde’s French text, portraying the emotional extremes, passions and secret terrors of Hérode.

    David Angus conducts the Wexford Festival Orchestra and cast including Na'ama Goldman (Salomé), Nora Sourouzian (Hérodias) and Scott Wilde (Hérode).
