    Nov 27. Wilhelm Stenhammar (pictured) was a  largely self-taught pianist, composer and conductor from Stockholm. This late 19th, early 20th, century artist created songs, choral works, orchestral, chamber and solo pieces that have dated well. On Friday's BLUE, the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic interpret Stenhammar's "Mellanspel" (Interlude). Also tonight, Clark Terry caresses a Johnny Mandel ballad; Eamonn Cagney performs part of his own "Holy Island"; violinist Nicola Benedetti features on an RTÉ Concert Orchestra recording of a work by Brian Byrne; Ahmad Jamal accompanies the late Shirley Horn; Brad Mehldau backs mezzo soprano Anne Sofie Von Otter; Ballaké Sissoko and Vincent Segal pool their resources once again; bluesman Little Milton begs to be satisfied; there's the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, from "Tveitt - A Hundred Hardanger Tunes"; movie music by Dario Marianelli; more from the debut by guitarist - and occasional singer - Felip Carbonell (see BLUE TUNES, below); new jazz by drummer/bandleader Bill Stewart; and the Kronos Quartet play music by Bryce Dessner. 10pm...

    Nov 23rd - 29th: Felip Carbonell

    Guitarist Felip Carbonell has worked as an arts officer, production company head and band manager. After organising Mallorcan dates for Dervish in the 1990s, he moved to Sligo. He contributes greatly to the vibrant music scene in Sligo and is an integral part of the band No Crows. Recently, Felip released his first solo project, "The Colours Of Time" - a collection of recordings that represent Felip's musical experiences in Ireland and in his native Mallorca - recorded in both locations. We air selections from the double CD all this week.
