    July 27th - August 3rd: Nocturnes

They are described as a single-movement character piece usually written for solo piano. First created by Irishman John Field (pictured) – forever associated with Frederic Chopin - but the list of nocturne composers is extensive. We’ll draw from that list all week – the dictionary defines them as “inspired by, or evocative of, the night”. Nocturnes - the perfect fit for The Blue Of The Night.
