    Oct 3. Tonight, we'll hear Oscar Brown Jnr sing of the "Humdrum Blues"; samples from 2 works by Debussy; hardanger fiddle-player Dan Trueman; guitarist Joel Harrison in his own right, and on a recording of "Tennessee Waltz" with Norah Jones; 2 x Ravel; a tremor generated by Dublin-based composer/producer Stephen Shannon; a modul by Nik Bartsch, Zurich-based pianist, composer and producer; poetry recitations by Vanessa Redgrave and Ralph Fiennes, as well as music by Laura Rossi, as available on "Voices Of Remembrance", an album inspired by the events of World War I; Miles & Gil play a Gershwin tune; we'll also listen to the latest recording by Marconi Union (pictured); a violin sonata by Poulenc; Joni Mitchell, from "Travelogue"; Tierney Sutton, from a tribute album to Joni; and another selection from this week's featured artist Sam Amidon (see BLUE TUNES, below). 10pm start...

Vermont born folk singer Sam Amidon has a new album out this week.  “Lily-O” features the innovative jazz guitarist  Bill Frisell– hear tracks from it along with some of  his back catalogue.
