    Jacques Loussier: Oct 27th - Nov 2

Pianist Jacques Loussier turns 80 this week (Sun 26). He composed soundtracks for over 67 films but his best known works are his Jazz treatments of the music of composers such as Satie,  Debussy, Ravel, Vivaldi, Schumann  and in particular Bach with the 2005 album Take Bach. All this week, a birthday tribute as Blue plays Loussier interpreting others. We dip into 2 2-CD retrospective releases which came out this year, "My Personal Favorites: The Jacques Loussier Trio Plays Bach" and "Beyond Bach: Other Composers I Adore"..
