    Saturday August 2nd - Rossini’s The Barber of Seville
    Bernard brings us to the opera in Lausanne, Switzerland for Rossini’s much loved opera buffa The Barber of Seville. Carlo Vieu conducts the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and Chorus with Edgardo Rocha, Giorgio Caoduro and Annalisa Stroppa in the leading roles.

    Saturday August 9th - Catalani’s La Wally
    Join Bernard Clarke this evening for Catalani’s La Wally the story is set in the Austrian Tyrol where the free-spirited but vulnerable Wally is in love with the handsome Giuseppe Hagenbach, the son of her father's implacable enemy. This leads to the inevitable disastrous conclusion. This performance comes from the Grand Theatre in Geneva in a new co-production with Monte-Carlo Opera starring Barbara Frittoli as Wally and Balint Szabo as Stomminger. The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande is conducted by Evelino Pido.
