    Borodin's defining Russian epic, Prince Igor - famous for its Polovtsian Dances, comes to the Met for the first time in nearly 100 years.

    Saturday September 6th - Leos Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen
    Bernard Clarke presents Leos Janacek’s comic opera The Cunning Little Vixen. This production was recorded at the State Opera in Vienna in July 2014 and stars Gerald Finley, Chen Reiss, Lydia Rathkolb Heinz Zednik and Donna Ellen. Franz Welser-Most conducts the Vienna State Opera and Chorus. 

    Saturday 13th September - Manon Lascaut by Puccini
    Tonight Bernard presents Manon Lascaut, an opera in four acts after the novel by Abbe Prevost, which was performed this year as part of the Baden-Baden Easter Festival 2014. Eva-Maria Westbroek plays Manon Lescaut, Lester Lynch Manon’s brother and Bogdan Mihai as Edmundo. Sir Simon Rattle (pictured) conducts the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
