Medea is one of the roles most closely associated with Maria Callas. Tonight, marking the 40th Anniversary of the death of Callas we present the 1957 recording of Cherubini's three act opera featuring Maria Callas as Medea, Renata Scotto as Glauce, Miriam Pirazzini as Neris, Mirto Picchi as Giascone and Tullio Serafin conducting the Orchestra and Chorus of La Scala Milan.
