Movies and Musicals Saturday 5 April 2014
Bob Fosse was an extraordinary talent, an American dancer, choreographer, director, screenwriter, film director and actor. He won eight Tony Awards for choreography, more than anyone else, as well as one for direction for Cabaret. Aedín includes songs from Cabaret, Sweet Charity and The Pajama Game this afternoon upon which Fosse very much left his mark. Memorable scores too from The English Patient, Cold Mountain, Shane and The Great Beauty.
Aedín Gormley talks to Lin-Manuel Miranda, the American actor, composer, rapper, and writer, best known for creating and starring in the Broadway musicals Hamilton. He had just co-written the songs for the new Disney feature ‘Moana’.
