Joining the Culwick is an outstanding line-up of soloists: sopranos Ailish Tynan and Colette Boushell, tenor Andrew Boushell and bass Owen Gilhooly.

The Culwick Choral Society and Orchestra are led by Brona Fitzgerald and under the direction of conductor Bernie Sherlock.

Between now and Friday, we’ll ask a question each day, winner each day gets a lyric goody bag and put into the draw on Friday for the overall prizes.

    RTÉ NSO Weekly Competition

Every Monday we'll be giving away two tickets  to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra's Friday night concerts and an overnight stayt with early bird meal for two in Buswell’s Hotel. Congratulations to this week's winner.

The music of Bach is indelibly associated with Good Friday, the 18th April. HIs deep-rooted faith gives his music a depth of feeling that overwhelms the senses with its richness of expression and sublime sincerity, the Easter festival drawing from him two of his most moving creations: the exquisite Easter and joyous Ascension oratorios. The delectable Third Brandenburg Concerto is a spry, bubbling orchestral tour de force.

Don't forget you can also attend Chamber Choir Ireland's 1.30pm concert: period: William Byrd’s Mass for 4 voices and the Lamentations of Jeremiah by Thomas Tallis together with motets by Byrd, Tallis and Taverner.
