Monday December 18th

Valery Gergiev conducts the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre for Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra perform the Nutcracker Suite.


Tuesday December 19th

Evelyn Grant has a selection of Christmas Cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Amsterdam Baroque and Tchaikovsky's The Seasons and Vivaldi's depection of Winter.


Wednesday December 20th

In today's Full Score, hear a nativity oratorio with lyrics by John Adams and Peter Sellars cobbled together from religious texts and poems. The result is a new telling of an old story mostly from the perspective of the Virgin Mary. The 2001 recording we hear this evening, featuring soprano Dawn Upshaw and the late mezzo-soprano Lorraine Hunt-Lieberson, came out to rave reviews.


Thursday December 21st

On today's show we feature Mozart's Flute and Harp Concerto with James Galway and Marisa Robles, plus Berlioz's L'enfance du Christ.


Friday December 22nd

On today's show we celebrate the season with Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols and Corelli's Christmas Concerto.


Monday December 25th

The Knock Messiah. On this special Christmas Day programme we have a recent performance of Handel's Messiah recorded at the Basilica in Knock in November. Featuring Claudia Boyle, Anne Marie Gibbons, Julian Hubbard, Christopher Cull, Our Lady's Choral Society, Dublin, Cor Mhaigh Eo and Ballina Chamber Choir and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra under the baton of Proinnsias O'Duinn.


Tuesday December 26th

We feature the recent final of the Freemasons Young Musician of the Year 2017 featuring RIAM student Brian Dungan (percussion), cellist Cormac O'Briain (CIT Cork School of Music), Saxophonist Robert Finegan from the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama and violinist Richard Thomas from the RIAM.


Wednesday December 27th

2017 Workplace Choir of the Year Final. In today's programme Michael Lee presents the finalists in the Workplace Choir of the Year 2017 as recorded in UCH in 2017. 


Thursday December 28th

Anúna in concert. On our programme today Michael Lee presents a recent concert by Anúna, recorded as part of the Francis Ledwidge Centenary Celebrations.


Friday December 29th

Michael Lee presents this special programme where we join the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra for a sparkling programme of opera and seasonal favourites, featuring Veronica Dunne 2016 prizewinners Fatma Said and William Davenport. But, before that Jon Tolansky profiles the winner of the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition – Egyptian soprano Fatma Said.


Monday 1st January

Michael Lee presents today's Full Score which feature a concert from the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann.


Tuesday 2nd January

Michael Lee presents today's concert which was recorded at the Pau Casals Hall, L'Auditori in Barcelona. The concert features the premiere of a work commissioned by the OBC by Catalan composer Enric Palomar who has written a Requiem in homage to Enrique Morente by means of blending flamenco and classical music.


Wednesday 3rd January

Michael Lee presents the Full Score today and brings us a recent concert from the Philharmonie in Cologne with the Gurzenich Orchestra under the baton of Harmut Haenchen.


Thursday 4th January

Michael Lee presents Joshua Bell in recital from the Page Theatre in St. Mary's University, Winona, Minnesota recorded during the Minnesota Beethoven Festival 2017.


Friday 5th January

Michael Lee presents today's live concert featuring the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Riccardo Muti and pianist Yefim Bronfman in Brahms' Concerto No. 2.
