The Musical Treasures of Trinity College - Part I
Listen back to this programme
The Book of Kells may be world famous, but the library of Trinity College Dublin contains many other unknown treasures, including thousands of music manuscripts and books. This brings us from medieval chant to Elizabethan lute melodies, to traditional Irish jigs in the years following the famine, and harpist Siobhan Armstrong plays her replica of the so-called Brian Boru harp which gives us our national emblem.
