Fauré wrote a suite for a girl named Dolly and included movements such as 'Kitty-Valse' written for a dog. We'll hear it on Sunday plus a song of wrong notes by Leonard Bernstein.

You can now enjoy Classical Kids exclusively on RTÉjr Radio every Sunday morning, from 10 to 11am. To listen, you can tune in via the RTÉjr Radio channel on the Radio Player, or listen on a digital radio via the RTÉjr channel. You can also hear us via the RTÉjr website

Sunday September 25th, 10am

Once upon a time there was a brave princess named Eliza whose brothers were turned into swans by a wicked witch. It's up to Eliza to save them by knitting shirts from stinging nettles, and we'll hear wonderful music written for the Hans Christian story by the composer Elena Kats-Chernin. We'll also hear one of the best, worst singers ever and we'll send you back to sleep this morning with beautiful lullabies from around the world...

Sunday October 2nd, 10am

Once upon a time there were three princesses - one had very long hair, one loved to sleep and one travelled around in a pumpkin! On today's Classical Kids we'll hear music written for all three and we'll travel the world with music written for a Spanish bullfighter, an American cowboy and an English major general.
