Classical music is all around us, and today we'll hear music written hundreds of years ago that was used in the X Factor and the Champions League. We're also off to the circus, with music written for clowns and acrobats by Rimsky-Korsakov, Fucik and Sousa.

    Sunday June 5th

Are video games soundtracks the new classical music? We'll take a listen to some great themes this morning including 'Angry Birds', 'Legend of Zelda' and 'Super Mario Bros'. We'll hear an exciting new version of Prokofiev's Peter and Wolf, read by rock star Alice Cooper, about a boy named Peter and his friends who battle an escaped wolf!
