    THE BUALADH BOS CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL IN LIMERICK - WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

    Congratulations to Agnes O'Brien and Aisling Leavy - you've each won a family pass to a Bualadh Bos event of your choice plus lunch on the day. 

    The festival line-up includes talks with authors of some much-loved children's books including Judi Curtin (the Alice and Megan series and the Eva series) and Andy Stanton (author of the Mr Gum series). Let your imagination run wild with a performance of Homer’s The Odyssey, where audiences not only interact with characters from Ancient Greece, but play some of roles themselves.     Music by Johann Strauss II this morning - performed by a gypsy band and an orchestra - plus the story of Babar the Elephant with wonderful music by Francis Poulenc.

    Classical Kids gets a little creepy this Sunday, with lots of spooky tunes especially for Halloween! We’ll visit the terrifying Mountain King with music by Grieg, and hear the tale of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice with enchanting music by Paul Dukas. We’ll also take a chilling flight through the skies with Wagner’s Ride of Valkyries and pay a visit to Jack Skellington in the town of Halloween. So listen in – if you dare...

    Sunday November 2nd
    It's story-time on this Sunday's Classical Kids, and we'll hear music that Francis Poulenc wrote for Babar the Elephant, while he composed while reading the story sitting a piano. Plus the tale of the Runaway Bunny, about a little bunny rabbit who decides to run away, by becoming a fish, a flower, a boat and an acrobat!
