Music by Johann Strauss II this morning - performed by a gypsy band and an orchestra - plus the story of Babar the Elephant with wonderful music by Francis Poulenc.

Sunday February 19th, 10am

Today we'll hear about Mozart and his sister Nannerl, who travelled all over Europe with their father, Leopold, performing for ladies and gentlemen, kings and queens. We'll even travel back in time to hear him conduct his first symphony, on Mozart's Magnificent Voyage! We'll also hear music written by Respighi to describe different birds, including The Hen and The Cuckoo.

Sunday February 26th, 10am

This morning we'll hear part of Prokofiev's Music for Children, which he wrote to be played by children and which have fun names such as Parade of the Grasshoppers, The Rain and the Rainbow, Playing Tag, The Moon Strolls in the Meadow. We'll also meet some of our favourite musical creatures in Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals.
