Sunday September 6th
Some musical instruments can play both classical music and traditional Irish music and on this morning's Classical Kids we'll hear classical music and folk tunes played on the fiddle, the harp and the flute. We'll also visit a farm with music written for cows, chickens and sheep and welcome Autumn, with music by Vivaldi.
Sunday September 13th
George Frederic Handel's father didn't want his son to become a composer, so Handel had to sneak a keyboard into the house, so that he could practise in secret. Handel went on to become a great composer of opera and classical music and we'll hear part of his Water Music Suite on Sunday morning. We'll also spend time in the garden, to hear music written about worms, butterflies and bumblebees!
