Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
Extracts from a profile of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau broadcast in the series Voices of the Century on RTÉ lyric fm in December 2000. He was interviewed at his home in Berlin by Jon Tolansky for RTÉ lyric fm.

- His debut in 1943 when he was just 18, in Schubert's Die Wintereisse.
- His operatic debut at the State Opera in Berlin in 1948, singing Rodrigo in
