Ingredients

  • 125 g Odlums cream plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 125 g grated raw potato
  • 125 g cold mashed potato
  • good pinch salt
  • a few tablespoons of milk
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • oil & butter for frying

Method

  • Place the raw potato into a clean tea towel or kitchen paper, squeeze out all the excess liquid (starch).
  • Place in mixing bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Heat a little oil and butter in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the mixture on hot pan and fry until golden brown on each side.
  • Serve hot.
