Ingredients

  • 4 pears (cored and peeled)
  • 1 stick of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp star anise
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 orange (juice and rind)
  • 1 lemon (juice and rind)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 bottle port
  • 1/2 bottle red wine
  • 2 tblsp plum pudding
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 shot baileys
  • 2 cup white sugar
  • for the milkshake:

Method

  • Add all ingredients including pears in a heavy saucepan and gently simmer for 15/20 minutes or until tender.
  • Remove Pears from liquid and reduce liquid by half. Spoon over pears.
  • For the Milkshake: Liquidise all ingredients in a blender. Serve in glass.
